First single from Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan titled 'Manasilayo'

Anirudh Ravichander, the film's music composer, announced that the song will be released soon

On Tuesday, Anirudh Ravichander, the music composer for Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, took to his official X account to announce the title of the first single from the film. "'Manasilayo'. Vettaiyan song comin soon. Hunter Vantaar," (sic) he wrote on his handle. The release date of the first single is yet to be announced.

An action drama, Vettaiyan is directed by TJ Gnanavel, and also stars Amitabh Bachchan in his Tamil debut. The film's extended ensemble cast comprises Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati,  Manju Warrier, Jisshu Sengupta, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.  Rohini, Abhirami, and VJ Rakshan play supporting roles in the upcoming film. 

It is to be noted that Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are reuniting for a film after 33 years. Their collaboration dates back to films like Andhaa Kaanoon (1983), and Geraftaar (1985). Their last film was Hum, which was released in 1991.

Rajinikanth's 170th film, Vettaiyan's technical crew comprises music composer Anirudh, cinematographer S R Kathir and editor Philomin Raj. The film marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth after Petta, Darbar, and Jailer

Vettaiyan, backed by Lyca Productions,  is currently in post-production, and will be released in theatres in  Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
