Actor Arun Vijay's upcoming film Vanangaan, directed by Bala has cleared censorship formalities with a U/A certificate. Sharing the news on their social media handles, the makers announced that the film's release date will be revealed soon.

The trailer, which was released a few weeks ago, hinted at a revenge thriller where Arun Vijay's character goes to jail for a crime he did not commit and comes back from prison to avenge those who sexually abused his sister. Arun has no dialogues in the trailer, hinting at a mute character.

Vanangaan also stars Roshni Prakash as the female lead. Samuthirakani and Mysskin play pivotal roles. The cast also includes Ridha, Chhaya Devi, Bala Sivaji, Shanmugarajan, Dr Yohan Chacko, Kavitha Gopi, Brindha Sarathy, Mai Pa Narayanan, Aruldass, and Munish Sivagurunath, among others.

The film has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by RB Gurudev, and editing by Sathish Suriya. Karthik Netha has penned the lyrics for the songs in Vanangaan, while Silva has choreographed the stunts in it. Recently, Sam CS boarded the crew to score the background music for the film.

The film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions. Production on the film was completed this April.
