The makers of the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Amaran released a new video showcasing the making of the film. The video showcases the team shooting scenes in and around Kashmir, with an intense Sivakarthikeyan in military uniform. Anu Vidhaiththa Boomiyile, a song from Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam (2013), plays in the background as the video shows captions on remembering struggles, battles, and sacrifices.

Amaran, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is being bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.

Amaran's story about the late army officer is inspired by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book, India's Most Fearless. The film will feature Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his act of bravery during a counterterrorism operation while on deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir.

The film also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead. GV Prakash is the music composer for the film, which will feature cinematography by CH Sai, editing by Kalaivanan, and stunt direction by Stefan Richter.

Amaran is all set to hit theatres for Diwali on October 31.
