While the post-production work for Vettaiyan is going on in full-swing, the makers of the Rajinikanth-starrer released a new picture from the sets of the much-anticipated film on the occasion of Fahadh Faasil's birthday.

The photo has Fahadh Faasil standing in between Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. Earlier on Thursday, Lyca Productions shared a character poster of the actor from the film.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, who shot to fame directing the Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim (2021), the upcoming film features an ensemble cast including Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan. Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are reuniting for this film after 33 years. Their last film was Hum, which was released in 1991.

Previously, in May, it was announced that Rajinikanth wrapped shooting for his portions in the film.

Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Other members of the technical crew include cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.

Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theaters in October. A release date is yet to be announced.
