Rio Raj begins dubbing for Sweetheart

Apart from Sweetheart, Rio has another untitled project in which he reunites with his Joe co-star, Malavika Manoj

Actor Rio Raj's upcoming film Sweetheart, directed by Swineeth Sukumar, has entered the dubbing stage.

The makers, describing the film as an 'entertaining tale' with a 'rollercoaster of emotions and unforgettable moments', announced the dubbing has commenced and the film will release in theatres soon.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is producing the film, will also take on the role of a music composer. Sweetheart will be his fourth production venture, after Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018), Maamanithan (2022), and the digitally released Pon Ondru Kanden (2024).

The film is written and directed by Swineeth S Sukumar. Balaji Subramanyam will be the cinematographer, while Tamil Arasan will handle the editing. Siva Sankar will handle art direction.

The film stars Rio Raj, Gopika Ramesh, Redin Kingsley, Renji Panicker, Arunachaleswaran Pa, Tulasi, Fouziee, and Suresh Chakravarthy.

Rio Raj was last seen in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful romantic drama Joe. In his pipeline, Rio has a yet-to-be-titled project that will see Rio reuniting with his Joe co-star, Malavika Manoj. The film directed by debutant Manoj Thangavel, is said to revolve around a middle-class married couple, wherein the husband has an issue with the progressive ways of his wife.
