Wayanad Landslide: Suriya's family, Rashmika donate to CM Relief Fund

Showing solidarity with the people of Kerala and the state government, celebrities have been making donations to Kerala CM Relief Fund in the wake of the rising death toll caused by the Wayanad landslides.

Expressing condolences, actors Suriya, Jyotika, and Karthi have donated Rs 50 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund. Also, actor Rashmika Mandanna has donated a sum of Rs 10 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund to the same end.

The Kerala state machinery and NDRF have been putting out concerted effort in the relief and rescue work.

Earlier, actor Vikram contributed Rs 20 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund. In his message to the affected, the actor said, "Pained by the sad news of the devastation caused by the recent landslide in Kerala's Wayanad district that left over 150 people dead, 197 injured and several others missing, actor Vikram today donated a sum of Rs 20 lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund."

Kerala's Wayanad district is severely hit by landslides caused by incessant rains. The landslides have claimed almost 300 lives, the toll is expected to increase in the coming hours and days.
