Vadakkan Teaser: A migrant worker and a local man lock horns

CE Features

In February last year, we reported that scriptwriter Bhaskar Sakthi is helming his debut feature, Vadakkan. On Wednesday, the makers of the film unveiled a short teaser.

Starring a completely new team of debut actors including Kunguma Raj as the male lead and Vairamala as the female lead, the teaser shows indifferences and ego brooding between a North Indian migrant worker and a local Tamilian.

Shakthi Bhaskar has previously written dialogues for films like Em Magan, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Naan Mahaan Alla, and Pandiya Naadu. He has also been the scriptwriter for Azhagarasamiyin Kuthirai. Ramesh Vaidya, Parvez Mehru, Shamira, Kodchadaisendhil, Vairam Patti, Pindu, and Vandana round out the supporting cast of Vadakkan

The film is backed by popular publisher Vediyappan, under the Discovery Cinemas banner. Vadakkan will be presented by Cinema Palace. The film will have sync sound or live sound recording. Rajesh Saseendran, who recorded live sound for Thalaikoothal has worked in Vadakkan as well.

SJ Janani, a Carnatic musician, will be composing the music for the film. While Theni Easwar will be handling the cinematography, Nagooran will be editing the film. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
