Sundar C's Aranmanai 4 gets a new release date

The film, which was earlier supposed to be released next week on April 26, will now hit theatres on May 3

The release date of actor-director Sundar C's Aranmanai 4, which was supposed to hit theatres on April 26 alongside Vishal's Rathnam, has now been pushed to the first week of May. The makers announced the news on social media and said the film will now be released on May 3. Aranmanai 4 has Tamannaah, Raashi Khanna and Sundar C in lead roles. The film was earlier supposed to be released for the Pongal week in January.

The supporting cast of Aranmanai 4 also features, Santhosh Prathap, Kovai Sarala, VTV Ganesh, Rajaendran, Singapuli and Yogi Babu. Talking about the plotline, Sundar C previously shared at the film's trailer launch event that he heard of an Assamese folklore about Baak, a water demon, which, according to legends, was one of the many reasons why even flourishing empires couldn't spread beyond Brahmaputra River.

Aranmanai 4 is backed by Benz Media Pvt Ltd and Avni Cinemax (P) Ltd. The technical crew of the film includes Hiphop Tamizha scoring the music with Esakki Krishnasamy as cinematographer. Fenny Oliver S is the editor.
