Actor Sivakarthikeyan released the first-look teaser of his production company's next venture, Kurangu Pedal, earlier today. Kamalakannan Subramanian is the director of the film, set in a village in Tamil Nadu. The teaser starts with the image of the setting sun and soon focuses on its principal characters, including a child actor who wonders why people in his village walk home. Then, it teases the plot of Kurangu Pedal, which seemingly revolves around four kids and their efforts to learn cycling. Kaali Venkat is one of the principal cast members of the film.

It was premiered as part of the the Indian Panorama section in the 2022 International Film Festival of India. The film has music by Ghibran Vaibodha, cinematography by Sumee Baskaran, editing by Shivanandeesvaran, and sound design by Antony BJ Ruban. It is set for a summer release.
