On the occasion of Nithya Menen's birthday, the makers of her upcoming project have released the first look of the film. Titled Dear Exes, the film is helmed by director Kamini, an erstwhile assistant of director Vishnu Vardhan, in her directorial debut.

The first look had the actor in a traditional look. She holds a drink in one hand and her phone in another where the display says that her 'ex' is calling. The tagline of the film says, 'Let the magic begin'

Touted to be a fantasy romantic comedy, the film will also star Prateik Babbar, Vinay Rai, Navdeep and Deepak Parambol in key roles.

When the project was announced a few weeks ago, the makers revealed that the film will be a "refreshing take of a slice-of-life movie, reflecting a girl’s perspective on relationships." The film will feature Nithya Menen in the lead, playing a 'soup girl', who is unlucky in love.

On the technical front, Preetha Jayaraman will be handling the cinematography, while Shanmugaraja will be handling the art direction. The film is bankrolled by BGN, Aditya Ajay Singh and Ramki.

Nithya Menen was last seen in the Dhanush-starrer rom-com Thiruchitrambalam in 2022. Along with Dear Exes, the actor is also set to star in another romantic film Kadhalikka Neramillai alongside Jayam Ravi. The film will be directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. She also has Raayan in the pipeline where she will be joining hands with Dhanush once again. The action thriller will be Dhanush's second directorial and 50th film.
