Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has been minting big money at the box office. In just 18 days of its release, the action-entertainer helmed by filmmaker Atlee crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally.

While celebrities and fans are still continuing to celebrate the film, actor Vijay has now joined the bandwagon to congratulate Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee for the success of Jawan. 

In his 400th post on his X handle, Vijay wrote, "Congratulations on the blockbuster Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee and the entire Jawan team! Love you too Shah Rukh Khan sir." 

This post was a response to Shah Rukh Khan who thanked a fan page of Vijay for wishing SRK and the team of Jawan for earning Rs 1000 crores at the box office. Responding to the wishes, he wrote, "Thank u for your wishes…. Looking forward to Thalapathy’s next!!! I love Vijay, sir!!" 

The film, released in theatres on August 7, opened favourable to mixed reception. A commercial action drama, Jawan features Khan as a father and son who team up to destroy the forces that plague society. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist. Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. Deepika Padukone has a cameo appearance in the film.

Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film. Jawan also features cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben. 

Meanwhile, Vijay is awaiting his upcoming film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which releases in theatres on October 19. Apart from Vijay, Leo stars Vijay, Trisha, Myskiin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, among others.
