On Sunday, the makers of Umapathy Ramaiah's next film revealed that the film has been titled Pithala Maathi. Helmed by director Manika Vidhya, the film also stars Samskruthy and Devadharshini in prominent roles. 

The makers made the announcement along with a small video that shows an illustration of the 'Paati vada sutta' story. We then see the title reading Pithala Maathi. 

Bala Saravanan, Vinutha Lal, Thambi Ramaiah, Aadukalam-fame Naren, Kadhal-fame Sukumar, and Vidylukeha Raman round out the cast of Pithala Maathi. 

The film is all set to feature cinematography by SN Venkat, music composed by Moses, and editing by A L Ramesh. Pithala Maathi will reportedly tell the story of marginalised people. The film is produced by G Saravanan under the Sri Saravana Film Arts banner. 

The makers are yet to reveal the release date of Pithala Maathi.
