Composer-actor Vijay Antony's sixteen-year-old daughter Meera died by suicide in their residence in Alwarpet around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. The high schooler is said to have hanged herself to death and the reason behind her tragic decision is yet to be discovered. 

Meera, who was majorly kept away from the limelight, became famous earlier this year after a photo of her with a winner sash went viral on the internet. 

Vijay Antony, was last in the news for denying rumours claiming that he  conspired to incite chaos at AR Rahman’s concert. He also stated that he will be filing a defamation case against the YouTube channel that started this rumour.
