Soori, Unni Mukundan and Sasikumar to star in Durai Sethil Kumar's direction 

The film is tentatively titled Karudan, with the project written by ace director Vetrimaaran

A new project in Tamil film industry is in the making, starring Soori, Unni Mukundan and Sasikumar in the lead roles. The film will be helmed by Durai Sethil Kumar who has previously made films, namely Ethir Neechal, Kodi and Kakki Sattai.

The film has been launched in Kumbakonam on Monday. Lark Studios and Grass Root Film Company are backing the film. 

Others part of the cast include Samuthirakani, Sshivada, Mime Gopi, Rajendran, among others. The film is tentatively titled Karudan, with the project written by ace director Vetrimaaran. The music for the upcoming film is expected to be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The technical crew consists of Arthur Wilson as the cinematographer and Pradeep E Ragav handling the edits.

It is to be noted that the project will mark sophomore acting venture for Unni in Tamil, who was last seen in the 2011 film Seedan. The actor is said to be learning Tamil for last few months for Karudan. Rest of the details on the film is yet to be out.

Meanwhile, Soori was last seen in Viduthalai Part 1 under Vetrimaaran's directorial, has the second part of the film coming up. The actor-comedian also has Kottukkaali and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai in the pipeline. On the other hand, Sasikumar is working on his directorial, and will also be seen in Pagaivanuku Arulvai and Naa Naa.
