As we wait for the release of Chandramukhi 2, actor Jyotika, who played a prominent role in the film’s first part, Chandramukhi, took to social media to wish success for the team and pass her wishes for actor Kangana Ranaut who plays the lead in the upcoming film.

“Feel extremely proud to see one of the most talented actresses of Indian cinema to play chandramukhi’s role. You look ravishing as chandramukhi Kangana Ranaut. Huge fan of your work and waiting to see this one specially for you. All the best Lawrence master and P Vasu for yet another success,” Jyotika wrote on her Instagram story.

It is to be noted that Jyotika played the role of possessed woman whose body is taken as host by Chandramukhi spirit. Though the actor will not appear in the sequel, Kangana Ranaut is expected to take centre stage as Chandramukhi.

Chandramukhi 2 is also directed by P Vasu, who also helmed the first part. Raghavan Lawrence plays the lead role in the film backed by Lyca Productions. While the cast of the first film and second are different, Vadivelu will be the common link between the two installments. The film is set to hit the theatres on September 15.
