Earlier, we reported that Soundarya Rajinikanth is producing a new web series starring Ashok Selvan in the lead role, titled Gangs. On Thursday, the entire team met with veteran actor Rajinikanth and took his blessings. 

Sharing the photos on her official X handle, the producer-director wrote, "My team and I are thrilled to get the blessings of “the one and only” today for our web series. thank you thalaivaaaa. thank you, Superstar. thank you my dearest Appa. onwards & upwards. God and gurus grace !!!!" (sic)

Gangs, is written and directed by Noah Abraham who has previously worked with Soundarya in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 as an assistant director. The filming for the series began with an official pooja on Wednesday. 

Gangs is produced by Soundarya's production house May 6 Entertainment and will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from Ashok Selvan, details of the rest of the cast and crew have not been announced yet.
