Kalanithi Maran gifts cheque and Porsche car to Nelson Dilipkumar after Jailer's success

Following the massive success of superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer, Sun Group's chairman and founder Kalanithi Maran met director Nelson Dilipkumar and presented him with a cheque and a brand-new Porsche car.

Sharing pictures from the happy occasion, the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of Sun Pictures wrote, "Mr Kalanithi Maran congratulated @Nelsondilpkumar and handed over a cheque to him, celebrating the Mega Blockbuster #Jailer." They also posted a video of Kalanithi Maran presenting him with the car.

Sun Pictures, the production house bankrolling the action entertainer, earlier in the day met Rajinikanth and also presented a cheque to him. He offered him a choice of two cars as a gift. Rajinikanth selected the luxurious BMW X7 from the options. The production house previously bankrolled Rajinikanth films such as Enthiran (2010), Petta (2019), and Annaatthe (2021).

Jailer hit theatres on August 10, and it has minted a sum of more than Rs 500 crores at the worldwide box office. Apart from Rajinikanth, the cast also features, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayak, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Sunil, and Tamannaah. It also has cameo appearances by stalwarts of the Indian film industries, including Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.

The film opened to mixed to positive responses and has Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer and Vijay Karthik Kannan handling the cinematography. Jailer marks Nelson's fourth directorial after Beast (2022), Doctor (2021) and Kolamavu Kokila (2018).
