Director Karthik Subbaraj, on Sunday, took to his official X handle on Sunday to wish Raghava Lawrence on the occasion of his 47th birthday. Along with the greeting, the filmmaker also announced that his film with Lawrence, Jigarthanda Double X, will hit theatres on November 10. 

So far, the makers have only announced that the film will hit theatres for Deepavali 2023. The official release date of the sequel to the 2014 film Jigarthanda, was only announced on Sunday. 

Jigarthanda Double X also stars SJ Suryah in the lead alongside Raghava Lawrence. Nimisha Sajayan, Sanjana Natarajan, and Naveen Chandra play key roles in the upcoming film. 

Jigarthanda Double X's technical crew includes music composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer S S Thirunavukarasu, who collaborated with Karthik Subbaraj in Mercury and Petta, and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali.

The film is backed by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Kathiresan under the Stone Bench Films & Five Star Creations banners.
