Composer D Imman, who has worked in the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer such as Manam Kothi Paravai, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan, when asked about the possibilities of working with the actor again, said that it will not be possible in the future.
In a recent interview with a Tamil media YouTube channel, when the composer was asked about working with Sivakarthikeyan and delivering many hit songs, Imman recalled about working with Sivakarthikeyan in the latter’s early stages, during Manam Kothi Paravai.
“We were on the composing works and his first film, Marina was still on the editing table. He was hosting a Vijay TV program and we were talking how a hard worker he is, which is why he is where he is now,” the composer added. The duo has worked in five films, including Manam Kothi Paravai, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan, Seemaraja, and Namma Vitu Pillai. “All the films were a hit, musically as well and it was in fact in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, he made his singing debut. He is a wonderful talent.”
However, when Imman was asked what the problem between them was and why they are not working together, he said, “I think it is hard and we will not be working together, in this birth at least. It is due to personal reasons and he had committed an unforgettable betrayal to me. It is personal and I cannot reveal it. I don’t think we can work together hereafter and I won’t work for his films.”
Imman, without divulging any details, said that he confronted the actor over the issue and refused to reveal the answer Sivakarthikeyan gave. “He is one of the reasons why I was hurt in my life. He was not the only reason, but he is one among them. We were family friends, and this particular issue caused me unimaginable amount of pain.”
Sivakarthikeyan is yet to respond to the issue.
