On Wednesday, Aha announced that their latest Telugu film, The Great Indian Suicide (TGIS), will premiere in Tamil on the streamer on October 13. The film stars Hebah Patel in the lead role.

TGIS also stars Naresh VK, Pavitra Lokesh and Jayaprakash, among others. The film is written and directed by Viplove Koneti. TGIS is based on the infamous Madanapalle twin homicide case that shocked the nation in 2021. The case involved the cold-blooded murder of siblings Alekhya and Sai Divya who were killed by their parents. The crime has been linked to occult practices. The parents Velleru Purshottam Naidu and Padmaja were college professors.

The announcement of the film's release date came with a first-look poster of the actor Hebah Patel. Her face is in a photo frame in the background, while her body, headless, is seated in the front. Hebah has previously starred in Odela Railway Station, an Aha Original film. Sricharan Pakala has composed the music of TGIS, with cinematography by Ananth Nag and Ajay Nag and editing by Dharmendra Kakarala
