It is now well-known that Venkat Prabhu is helming actor Vijay's Thalapathy 68. The director-actor has now shared an update on his X handle that the film has now officially gone on floors.

Venkat Prabhu wrote, "And it began!! #Thalapathy68 with all ur love and wishes!!! This is gonna be a fun roller coaster ride!! And all pics and updates after namma #Leo release!! God is Kind."

Backed by AGS Entertainment, Thalapathy 68 is all set to have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Thalapathy 68 marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Venkat Prabhu.

Thalapathy 68 reportedly has actor Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Priyanka Mohan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha and Laila in pivotal roles. However, official information regarding the same is yet to be announced. Thalapathy 68 is slated for release in 2024.

Meanwhile, Vijay is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which hits theatres worldwide on October 19. Apart from Vijay, Leo stars Vijay, Trisha, Myskiin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, among others. The film has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and music by Anirudh Ravichander.
