Raju Murugan and SP Cinemas join hands to produce Tamil rural film

The film will mark the maiden directorial venture of Ezhil Periyavede

On Sunday, SP Cinemas announced that they have joined hands with director Raju Murugan to produce an upcoming Tamil rural film. The film is set to mark the maiden directorial venture of Ezhil Periyavede. 

The makers of the film have only announced the crew of the upcoming rural flick. Details such as the title, plot and cast are yet to be revealed. 

With Sean Roldan set to compose music for the film, Pariyerum Perumal-fame cinematographer Sridhar will be cranking the camera. Sam RDx is in charge of editing, while Umadevi will write the verses for the film's songs. 

Meanwhile, Raju Murugan is working on his upcoming directorial, Japan, starring Karthi in the lead role. Also starring Anu Emmanuel, the film is scheduled to hit theatres for Diwali this year. Raju is known for films like  Joker, Cuckoo and Gypsy.

On the other hand, SP Cinemas has previously produced projects like K13, Maara, Oh Manapenne, and the yet-to-be released Diesel
