With two weeks left for the release of Keerthi Pandian's Kannagi, the makers of the film released the Idhuvellam Mayakama song from the film on Wednesday. Shaan Rahman, who is the film's music composer, has also crooned this song along with Gowry Lekshmi. Karthik Netha has penned the verses for the song. 

Kannagi is written and directed by Yashwanth Kishore. Apart from Keerthi Pandian in the lead, the film also stars Ammu Abhirami, Vidya Pradeep, Shalini Zoya, and Vetri in prominent roles. The film is backed by M Ganesh and J Danush under the E5 Entertainment and Skymoon Entertainment banners. 

The technical crew of Kannagi consists of Rama handling the cinematography, Kumar Gangappan in charge of art direction, and editing by K Sarath Kumar. More details about the film's plot are to be revealed by the makers. The film's distribution will be handled by Shakthi Film Factory. 

Kannagi is slated to hit theatres on December 15.
