The makers of Kannagi, starring Keerthi Pandian, announced the film's release date on Thursday. The film, written and directed by Yashwanth Kishore, will hit theatres on December 15. 

Apart from Keerthi Pandian in the lead, the film also stars Ammu Abhirami, Vidya Pradeep, Shalini Zoya, and Vetri in prominent roles. The film is backed by M Ganesh and J Danush under the E5 Entertainment and Skymoon Entertainment banners. 

The technical crew of Kannagi consists Rama handling the cinematography, Shaan Rahman composing music, and editing by K Sarath Kumar. More details about the film's plot are to be revealed by the makers. The film's distribution will be handled by Shakthi Film Factory.
