Daniel Caltagirone dubs for Thangalaan

Actor Daniel Caltagirone begins dubbing for his upcoming Tamil film Thangalaan the actor took to social media to post a picture of him from the dubbing studio. The actor is known for his roles in Hollywood films like Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, and The Pianist, and will be making his Indian debut with Thangalaaan.

Thangalaan is directed by Pa Ranjith and stars Vikram in the lead role. The film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, among others.

Earlier speaking to CE, Daniel had said about his role, “Ranjith was excited when he found out that I was in the military because my character too has a military past. But the character is also someone who does not fit into British society. I shared my perception about how Englishmen are portrayed and Ranjith was accommodative enough to take my input. Even with English, I have tried to use the heightened pronunciation common in the 1800s.”

Thangalaan will hit the theatres on January 26, 2024. Backed by Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the film has music by GV Prakash, marking his first collaboration with the filmmaker. Tamil Prabha is the film's co-writer, while Selva RK and SS Murthi will handle the editing and art departments, respectively.
