Lyca Production unveiled the teaser of their upcoming film Lal Salaam on Sunday, on the occasion of Deepavali. Helmed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film stars Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in lead roles. 

The teaser starts by showing both Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal as professional cricket players. There's a hint that the city they live in is infested by religious instability. Then, Rajinikanth gives an entry as Moideen Bhai, and it looks like he's here to save the day!

While Vishnu Vishal plays a character called Thirunavukkarasu, the character name of Vikranth is yet to be revealed. With the Rajinikanth cameo, this is the first time the actor is collaborating with his daughter. The film also stars Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, Thangadurai, and KS Ravikumar among others. 

The upcoming film is billed to be a sports drama based on cricket. It will also reportedly have a political relevance. Lal Salaam has music composed by AR Rahman, marking his first-ever collaboration with Aishwarya. With cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, the film has editing by Pravin Baaskar. 

Lal Salaam is scheduled to hit the big screens for Pongal 2024. It will be competing with Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan and Dhanush's Captain Miller.
