Actor Rajinikanth unveiled the much-awaited Tamil glimpse of Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Titled Indian 2 - An Intro, the glimpse showcases Kamal Haasan speaking on the phone while announcing that, "Indian is immortal."

The almost two-minute-long glimpse unfolds in the backdrop of a song where several people demand Kamal Haasan's Indian to come back as injustice rises in the country. We see government officers engaging in corruption and rich politicians weighing gold during wedding ceremonies. Towards the end, Kamal Haasan enters the screen and says, "Greetings India, Indian is back." He also signs his name as Veerasekharan Senapathy.

While Aamir Khan's production house released the glimpse in Hindi, the Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada language videos were shared by actor Mohanlal, director SS Rajamouli and Kichcha Sudeepa on their social media handles. 

Indian 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 film marks the reunion of Shankar and Kamal Haasan after 27 years. 

It is co-produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. The upcoming film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The cast also includes Samuthirakani, Piyush Mishra, Gulshan Grover, Brahmanandam and late actors Manobala, Vivekh and Nedumudi Venu.

The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera with editing by Sreekar Prasad. The release date for the film has not been announced by the makers.

Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram (2022) has a bunch of projects in hand. He will be seen in a prominent role in Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin, the untitled KH 233, directed by H Vinoth and KH 234 directed by Mani Ratnam.

KH 234, the sophomore collaboration between legendary actor Kamal Haasan and the renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam, after the 1987 classic film Nayakan, went on floors on October 27.
