We had earlier reported that actor Manoj Bharathiraja was making his directorial debut with Margazhi Thingal.  Interestingly, the makers announced an actor search for the leads, and now, they shared information about the people who were selected for the film. 

Rakshana and Shyam Selvan have been brought onboard Margazhi Thingal as the leads. This will be the debut feature film for both actors. 

Karthi, who was recently seen in Ponniyin Selvan, shared the first-look poster of the film featuring these actors. "Happy to see your dream coming true @manojkumar_76. Glad to introduce #Rakshana and #ShyamSelvanas the Leads for #MargazhiThingal. All the best Manoj,  @gvprakash, @Dir_Susi, and the entire team," wrote Karthi.

While the film is backed by director Suseenthiran under the Vennila Productions banner, GV Prakash will score the music.
