Actor Shruti Haasan, last seen in Waltair Veerayya, will attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival as the guest of honour for their round table conference on gender parity. The festival will be held from May 16 to May 27.

According to IANS, the topic of discussion is 'Activating Change'. It aims to discuss the challenges and opportunities for women in the entertainment industry and explore ways to create a more equitable and inclusive environment. It also seeks to provide realistic solutions for underserved filmmakers with a multicultural, intersectional, and results-driven approach.

Meanwhile, the actor will be next seen in the pan-Indian actioner Prashanth Neel's Salaar alongside Prabhas. That apart, he has an international film, The Eye, in which she plays a widow visiting a Greek island to spread her deceased husband's ashes. He is also part of Nani30, directed by Shoryuv.
