Earlier, we reported that Manoj Bharathiraja, son of veteran director Bharathiraja, will be making his directorial debut with Margazhi Thingal. Bharathiraja is set to star in the film. On Sunday, the makers announced that the female lead of the film will be revealed by Venkat Prabhu on May 15. 

The first look poster of Margazhi Thingal featured Bharathiraja standing with a stick at the backdrop of a village. And a silhouette of a couple is superimposed in the background. The film will also star Vinoth Kishan and Samyuktha Vishwanathan in 

While the film is backed by director Suseenthiran under the Vennila Productions banner, GV Prakash will score the music. Margazhi Thingal will have cinematography by AR Suriya and editing by Thiyagu. The film is scheduled to go on floors soon. 

It is to be noted that Manoj made his acting debut with Taj Mahal, which was helmed by Bharathiraja.
