The makers of Maamannan had recently announced that the film is set to hit the theatres in June. As part of initiating the promotions of the film, the makers are set to drop the first single from the film soon. Sharing a photo from the recording studio, the makers hinted that the song will be voiced by Vadivelu who is also starring in the film.

Maamannan has music scored by AR Rahman. Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj who is known for making films like Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal. Besides Vadivelu, the film also stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil.

The film is backed by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant movies. This film has cinematography by Theni Eswar while editing is being handled by Selva. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics for the songs while the dance choreography is handled by Sandy.

It is to be noted that Maamannan will Udhayanidhi's last film, before he assigns himself to full-fledged political career.
