Contrary to rumours and premature media reports, veteran actor Sarath Babu, who is hospitalised at a private hospital in Hyderabad, is alive and on the road to recovery. 

While rumours were rife that the actor had passed away, one of the actor's family members-- Sarath Babu's sister, in a PR statement, refuted the same. Urging the public not to believe in rumours, they added that the actor has recovered a bit and subsequently shifted to another ward. They also hope that he will address the media after his complete recovery. 

It may be noted that the actor, last seen in Vasantha Mullai (2023), is reportedly under treatment for multi-organ damage. 

Sarath Babu, who made his debut in a Telugu film in 1973, became famous for his work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films. Sarath Babu has bagged Nandi awards nine times for best acting in supporting roles.
