Priya Bhavani Shankar: Silambarasan sir’s charisma is so captivating

Silambarasan's upcoming film Pathu Thala is all set to hit the theatres on March 30. Directed by Obeli N Krishna, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik and Gautham Vasudev Menon. 

Ahead of the release, Priya in a statement, said, “It’s a dream come true for a female actor to get some substantial characters rather than appearing in stereotyped roles. Director Krishna sir has always ensured the women characters in his movies are powerful, and I am elated to be playing one such role in his Pathu Thala."

She further mentioned that producers KE Gnanavelraja and Jayantilal Gada have tremendously supported the film. She also praised Gautham Karthik as a dedicated artist who always strives for improvisation. "Silambarasan sir’s charisma is so captivating, and his utmost dedication to every single shot is so genuine. I grew up listening to AR Rahman sir’s music, and I am emotionally gleeful that I am appearing on the screens for his musical score. Pathu Thala has the ingredients of emotions and entertainment that will definitely savour the tastes of family audiences, " she added.

Pathu Thala is a remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. Silambarasan will essay on the character originally played by Shiva Rajkumar in the Kannada version. The film also stars Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, and Anu Sithara, among others.
