AR Rahman lauds his PS II mixing engineers

The film is set to hit the theatres on April 28

On the day of Ponniyin Selvan II's trailer and audio launch, the film's music collaborator AR Rahman lauded his mixing engineers' efforts. 

Taking to his Twitter handle, AR Rahman wrote, "Kudos to my relentless mixing engineers for delivering over 35 masters for today’s audio release." (sic) The trailer and audio launch event was held on Wednesday at Nehru Stadium. 

The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 28. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the first part of Ponniyin Selvan was received very well and minted big at the box office. The epic period film features Karthi, Trisha, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. 

The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, Ponniyin Selvan was shot by Ravi Varman. The technical crew also includes editor A Sreekar Prasad and production designer Thota Tharani.
