Guitarist Steeve Vatz passes away

He has played the guitar for composers like Ilaiyaraaja, AR Rahman, and Harris Jayaraj among others

Noted musician Steeve Vatz who has played the guitar for music composers like AR Rahman and Harris Jayaraj, passed away on Thursday. The cause of his death is still unknown. 

Some popular songs he has played include, Nenjukul Peidhidum from Varanam Aayiram, Podaa Podii from Podaa Podii, and Oru Mugamo from Bheema. He also composed music for a Tamil film titled Uppu Karuvadu. The film, directed by Radha Mohan starred Karunakaran in the lead role. 

Steeve Vatz has also worked with Ilaiyarajaa, Sivamani and Grammy-winning artist Scott Underwood. He began playing the bass guitar at the age of 11 and became proficient at it over the years and became one of the most sought-after musicians. Apart from his work in cinema, he was also quite popular in the reality TV circuit. Meanwhile, apart from playing the guitar he also provided self-authored guitar music training to budding and aspiring musicians. 

He is survived by his wife and children.
