Silambarasan's upcoming film Pathu Thala is all set to hit the theatres on March 30. Ahead of the release, the makers announced that the film passed the censor formalities. The film has been censored with U/A. 

Directed by Obeli N Krishna, the film's music is composed by AR Rahman. Pathu Thala is a remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. Silambarasan will essay on the character originally played by Shiva Rajkumar in the Kannada version. Produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam in supporting roles. 

Meanwhile, Silambarasan's 48th film was recently announced. Produced by Kamal Haasan's RKFI, the film will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy.
