Vanthiyathevan and Kundhavai from PS II share light-hearted exchanges on Twitter

Ahead of the release of the Aga Naga song from Ponniyin Selvan II, actors Karthi and Trisha stepped into the shoes of Vanthiyathevan and Kundhavai, respectively and shared some light-hearted exchanges on Twitter to promote the song.

Calling Kundhavai as the Ilayapiratti, Vanthiyathevan asked if he could get a chance of meeting her. He also asked her to get a song ready for them to "vibe" when he returns to Pazhaiyaarai. She replied that the song is already ready and hinted that it will be out at 6 pm on Monday.

Composed by AR Rahman, Aga Naga is sung by Shakthisree Gopalan. Ilango Krishnan has written the lyrics for the song. The song will also be released in other languages including, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. 

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the first part of the film was received very well and minted big at the box office. The epic period film also features Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban.

The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, Ponniyin Selvan was shot by Ravi Varman. The technical crew includes editor A Sreekar Prasad and production designer Thota Tharani.
