Aishwarya Rajinikanth files jewellery theft complaint 

As per the FIR, jewels worth Rs 3.6 lakh were stolen

Filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth has filed a complaint at the Teynampet police station and alleged that diamond and gold jewellery, worth lakhs have been stolen from her house. The director also named three of her staff members as suspects.

As per a DT Next report, in her complaint, Aishwarya stated that the missing valuables include diamond and gold jewellery sets, necklace, earrings and bangles around 60 sovereigns. Aishwarya mentioned that the stolen jewellery is worth Rs 3.6 lakh in her FIR and that they were kept in the locker after she had used them in 2019.

The locker, though was shifted places, was in possession of Aishwarya all the while, and in April 2022 was kept at Rajinikanth's house in Poes Garden.

"The keys to the locker were kept in my personal steel cupboard at St Mary’s road apartment. This was known to my staff. They also used to frequent the apartment when I was away," the report quoted Aishwarya.  She also complained that when she checked for the jewels they had gone missing on February 10. A complaint has been registered under Section 381 of IPC.

The investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya is directing Lal Salaam, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
