We had earlier reported that Aishwarya Rajinikanth's upcoming film Lal Salaam commenced production. Recently, the filmmaker shared a couple of behind the scene pictures from the sets of the film.

Taking to Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with the team shooting in a temple, Aishwarya wrote, "Happens to be a Friday ..early start and shooting in an age-old Amman temple …can call it a coincidence or sometimes I believe god has her own sweet small ways of communicating with her child." (sic)

The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. It is backed by the Lyca Productions banner. Lal Salaam has Rajinikanth playing a cameo role. It will be the first time Aishwarya is directing Rajinikanth and their maiden professional collaboration.

Besides direction, Aishwarya has also written the screenplay of the film. The music will be composed by AR Rahman. The technical crew consists of Ramu Thangaraj as the art director, editing handled by Pravin Baaskar, and Vishnu Rangasamy as the cinematographer.
