The makers of Chandramukhi 2 announced that they completed filming the Mumbai schedule on Thursday. Directed by P Vasu, the film marks the sequel to the 2005 film, Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth.  

The first film was also directed by Vasu. The sequel stars Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The makers also announced that Kangana completed her portions for the film. On Wednesday, Kangana penned a heartfelt note about her experience working with Raghava Lawrence.

The cast also includes Vadivelu, Radhika, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mahima Nambiar and Ravi Maria, among others. The film is backed by Lyca Productions. Meanwhile, it is reported that MM Keeravani is roped in to compose the music for the sequel. Notably, Chandramukhi ran for a record-shattering 890 days in theatres. It was a remake of the Malayalam classic Manichitrathazhu.
