Vaa Vaathi video song out

The film is all set to make its digital premiere on Netflix on March 17

The makers of Dhanush's Vaathi released the full video of the Vaa Vaathi song on Tuesday. This comes ahead of the film's OTT release on Netflix, on March 17. Composed by GV Prakash, Vaa Vaathi is sung by Shwetha Mohan with lyrics by Dhanush. 

A Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Vaathi is titled Sir in Telugu. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is backed by Sithara Entertainments. Set in the 90s, the film is a period drama. Dhanush plays the role of a teacher on a mission to correct the educational system corrupted by the privatisation of institutions.

Featuring Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, Vaathi also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren and Ilavarasu.

With cinematography by J Yuvraj, Vaathi has editing by Navin Nooli. Vaathi was released in theatres on February 17. The film had a massive success at the box office, surpassing the 100 crore benchmark, with mixed reviews from critics.
