Earlier, it was speculated that Arun Vijay will be replacing Suriya in Bala's film Vanangaan. Now, the latest reports suggest that Bala has resumed filming for the project with Arun Vijay in Kanyakumari. 

The film reportedly has Arun Vijay and Roshini Prakash in the lead roles. Earlier, Kriti Shetty was roped in to play the female lead opposite Suriya. Meanwhile, the latest reports also note that the Kanyakumari schedule of Vanangaan will be for 25 days. The film's cinematography will be handled by Bala Subramaniam and the music will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar. 

It may be noted Bala had put out a statement noting that the decision for Suriya to opt out of the project was taken in the best interest of everyone in the team. Initially, Vanangaan was supposed to be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. But the makers also noted that they are stepping out of this project. So the new production banner associated with the project is yet to be announced.
