The filming of the upcoming film Christina Kathirvelan, starring Kaushik Ram in the lead role, began on Wednesday. The film is directed by debutant SJ Alex Pandian. It is produced by Dr R Prabhakar under the Shri Lakshmi Thirai Kalai Koodam banner. The film went on floors in Kumbakonam. 

Kaushik is known for playing the lead role in Kalangalil Aval Vasantham. 

The film also stars YouTubers Ravi VJ, Bhuvaneswari and Singam Puli, among others. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Prahath Muniasamy, music composer Hari SR and editor Guna.

Speaking about his film, the director SJ Alex Pandian, in a statement, said, "Christina Kathirvelan is a romantic comedy thriller with a social message. It revolves around the problems faced by the hero who comes to the city from the village for his college education."
