The much-awaited teaser of Pathu Thala, starring Silambarasan, was released on Friday. Written and Directed by Obeli N Krishna, Pathu Thala is the remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. 

The trailer opens with a voice-over of Silambarasan,  in which he establishes how he has reached the position where he is now. Simbu portrays the role of AGR, a gangster. The teaser hints at the mighty gangster's world with gunfights, explosions, and a public uproar. And at the end of the teaser, AGR's massy-fierce look is revealed.

Produced by Jayantilal Gada, and KEGnanavelraja, Pathu Thala has  Silambarasan essay, the character played by Shivarajkumar in the Kannada version.

The music for Pathu Thala is composed by AR Rahman. The film also stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam in supporting roles.
