We had earlier reported that director Athirai Athiyan will be helming a film titled Thandakaaranyam. The makers have now announced that the first schedule of Thandakaaranyam, the upcoming Tamil film directed by Athirai Athiyan, has been wrapped up.

The ensemble cast of the film includes Kalaiyarasan, Attakathi Dinesh, Riythvika, Vinsu Sam, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Bala Saravanan. While Pratheep Kaliraja will be handling the cinematography for the film, Selva RK takes care of the editing. Justin Prabhakaran, known for films like Radhe Shyam and Gatta Kusthi, is composing the music for the film.

Athirai made his debut with the critically acclaimed Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu in 2019. Thandakaaranyam is based on a screenplay written by the director. His upcoming film is being backed by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions in association with Learn and Teach Production.
