Recently at a press meet, Vetrimaaran was asked about his upcoming film with Suriya, Vaadivaasal. The filmmaker revealed that the pre-production work for the film is happening in full swing in London.

With a plan to begin shooting for Vaadivaasal after completing Viduthalai Part 2, Vetrimaaran also shared that animatronics of a bull is being created in London. The animatronics work is in the progress of creating a fully robotic version of the bull that Suriya nurtures in his house.

Vaadivaasal is based on the novel of the same name by the late writer CS Chellappa. Suriya plays a Jallikattu player in Vaadivaasal. The report suggests that the actor is training with a couple of bulls for this role.

Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran recently saw the release of Viduthalai 1 in March. He is currently filming for Viduthalai 2, the release date for which is yet to be announced. The filmmaker is also working on a TV series titled Nilamellaam Rattham along with Ameer and Yuvan.
