Vetri's Bumper trailer is here

CE Features

On Sunday, the makers of Vetri's Bumper released the trailer of the film. A drama, the film is the maiden directorial venture of M Selvakumar, an erstwhile associate of director Muthaiya.

Set in Thoothukudi, the trailer suggests the film revolves around the culture of bumper lotteries. We see how the life of some Malayalis and Tamilians gets intertwined because of these lotteries. The film is a Tamil and Malayalam bilingual.

In a previous conversation with CE, Selvakumar said, "I developed a story based on the lottery system in Kerala and how people from Tamil Nadu travel to Kerala only to buy lotteries." Further elaborating on the themes of the film, Selvakumar shared, "Money might blur your notions about morality, and the dichotomy between greed and need, but at the end of the day, what matters is humanity. I perceive the film as a family-emotional drama."

Bumper also stars Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi and Thangadurai in prominent roles. With music by Govind Vasantha, Bumper has cinematography by Vinoth Rathinasamy and editing by Mu Kasivishwanathan. S Thiagaraja is backing the film under the Vetha Pictures banner.

The makers are yet to announce a release date for Bumper.
