Actor Nakkhul will be next seen in Nirka Atharku Thaka, the upcoming film, directed by Balaaji. The film is backed by P Sorna Kalyani's AJ Entertainment. The title look announcement has the tagline, "The Devil has not gone."

Speaking to CE, Balaaji, who previously directed Prajin's D3, says, "Nirka Atharku Thaka is billed as a crime thriller. The story is about how a boy who wins a lottery in Kerala and boards a bus to Tamil Nadu doesn't reach his destination. The film unfolds with a series of investigations that will unearth the reason behind his disappearance."

He further adds that Nakkhul will sport very different body language and mannerisms in the upcoming film. Hence, they want to keep his character details as a surprise for now. "Our main location for this film is Mekkarai, near the Kerala-TN border. The filming is currently underway and we have 30% of the shoot pending. The film will offer many seat-edge thrilling moments," he adds.

It may be noted that the title announcement poster features a violin in shades of red and white. Renu Sounder plays the female lead in Nirka Atharku Thaka. The film's technical crew includes DOP Sathish MS, editor Raja Arumugam, and art director Ananth Mani. Meanwhile, Nakkhul, last seen in the 2018 action comedy film Sei, has Vasco Da Gama in the pipeline.
