Jailer clears censorship formalities

The Rajinikanth vehicle is all set to hit theatres on August 10

The makers of Jailer, on Thursday, announced that the upcoming Rajinikanth film has passed censorship formalities with a U/A certificate. The film, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is all set to hit theatres on August 10.

The film, which marks Nelson's fourth, boasts an ensemble cast across industries including Mohan Lal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, and Shivrajkumar. Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaahh, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Vinayakan round out the cast of Jailer. Rajinikanth plays a jail warden, named Muthuvel Pandian in the film. 

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film. While Nirmal has edited Jailer, Vijay Kartik Kannan has cranked the camera.  The audio launch of Jailer is all set to take place in Chennai on July 28.
