Katharbasha Endra Muthuramalingam, the recently released Tamil film starring Arya, will premiere on Zee5 on July 7. Directed by Muthaiya, the film was bankrolled by Drumsticks Productions in association with Zee Studios. Katharbasha Endra Muthuramalingam marks Arya's first collaboration with Muthaiya, who last directed Viruman. 

Katharbasha Endra Muthuramalingam was released on June 2 and opened to mixed reviews with a dismal run at the box office, " Even though Arya delivers all the punches and punchlines in the film, the loudest cheer in the theatre was reserved for the scene where a 12-year-old girl slaps her toxic mother and goes ahead to deliver a powerful monologue on parenting. Time and again, Muthaiya has proven his mastery in creating such powerful characters and moments in his films, and he is also honing his technical prowess with every project," reads an excerpt of the CE review of the film. 

Besides Arya, the film also stars Prabhu, Bhagyaraj, Singampuli, Naren K, Bhagyaraj and Siddhi Idnani, among others.

Katharbasha Endra Muthuramalingam has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with Velraj handling the cinematography. Venkat Raajen, who previously worked with Muthaiya in Viruman, served as the editor of the film.
